here's how i SHOULD HAVE received the AES i paid $300.00 for;
( the blue module is a step-down transformer for converting U.S. 120v to JPN 100v )
alas, the guy i bought it from, SAMUELNIPPON on EBAY,
not only sent it to me without bags covering the components,
but with a set of VIDEO/MONO AUDIO RCA patch cables
rather than a VIDEO/MONO AUDIO RCA/DIN AES A/V connector!!
thank goodness that i had bought this A/V cable,
and that it had arrived several days before my AES did;
further, the controller is not the same as the one shown
in the EBAY pic;
my actual one has the NEO GEO tampo printing heavily worn and faded;
finally, the seller had stated rthat there was the warranty card present,
and yet there was none in the box.
i've already contacted him about the card,
i just might go ahead and razzle him about the controller, too.
anyway, i did make a minor improvement to my AES;
employing a set of padded feet from an old AKAI brand
integrated audio amplifier that was part of a rack system;
looks great, IMHO, and also provides better ventilation clearance
for the AES' underside vent slots...
