SOTM Februray 2016: Espgaluda II

There is also a spot before 3rd mid-boss where those popcorn flies come from both sides - I'm going zetsu there and putting on 7-10 mill before that mid-boss. I haven't put it altogether in one run yet, but am getting there. Have a dozen or so runs today in the 18-24 million range - steady improvements.

Build up gems on those popcorn flies early in stage 3, then you get those bigger ships that float in and start spamming massive amounts of bullets, go into zetsu for them and let loose, you'll get massive points.

Also, my (noob) strategy for leveling up overmode is to immediately waste all gems when I start the game and go into overmode until its fully maxed. I also do this on regular Espgaluda as well - don't really see any reason not to.

I'm getting a little annoyed, I used to no miss the first 4 stages blindfolded, but I'm making stupid mistakes that only giving me a life or 2 remaining for the last stage.
I think I might let you guys chase 100mil and go back to playing Strikers1945pt1.

I'm not dying anywhere specific - just random deaths in different places. Often on 2nd boss that zig zag pattern - sometimes it's cake, sometimes I just start in a bad spot and have to move so quickly through it I biff it. Third boss is a bit of a wall - but again - there really isn't any one part that i'm struggling with. There's no reason I shouldn't be no-missing the first 3 stages...but i'm not...not close. Only hitting stage 4 every 3rd run or so, terrible.

Still stuck on 3rd stage, but I'm really getting the scoring opportunities of the first two stages figured out. Have yet to get that 1up on 3rd stage, and I keep dying from the stupidest things. I'll get there yet!

Mike, have you tried a zetsushikkai to finish off the stage 2 boss? As soon as he starts that final pattern trigger it and herd as many bullets before killing him.
Shouldn't be too hard to pull off with a little practice and is worth nearly 10mil.

I got this for the first time on my 50mil run...easily got 10mil out of it.

I've played this twice in the past for a month or so. The first time I walled at stage 3 boss around 10 million. The next time I dug in I walled at stage 4 mid-boss around 13 million.

This time i'm better understanding when to (and more importantly when NOT to) activate Zetsu. I'm not getting any further than i've been - but my score is improving a lot.

...yes - i'm sure you've seen it native on 360 on an LCD. It covers 30% of the screen and is unplayable w/o stretching it out.

About as good as I'm going to do this month I think. This is the first time I really spent any time trying to score well in this game; I've put in way more hours on the first espgaluda. I'm getting to stage 5 relatively consistently, but I'm just not scoring that well after the 2nd stage. Maybe I'll leave the 360 hooked up for a little while.

Nice, you got past the "laughing tank" (st4 boss), probably my favorite tank ever, and one of cave's best boss fights.
