Sonic Legends is an unofficial, non-profit fan project inspired by the 2D Sonic the Hedgehog series of games. Its main goal is to update and re-invent over 20 year of history within the Sonic fangaming scene. Every featured Zone has been re-imagined for a modern outing by redesigning them from the ground up in all aspects, adding flair and polish similar to 2017’s Sonic Mania.

I see so many of these fan demos that get as far as graphics for one level/zone and then stop, or else they just recycle existing graphics into their own custom levels and it's very obvious that the background blocks came from an existing level, or even another game, like socket or puggsy. It will be cool if there's multiple zones with original art in a similar style to what you'd expect from a sonic game, but that's a ton of work...

I'm honestly surprised Sega apparently doesn't think it's worth the effort to make a sequel to Sonic Mania.
