O.K.
I am having continuing problems with my Atomiswave Candy Cab.
Whenever I hook up any Jamma Board, the 12volt fluctuates wildly. Reading the multimeter it seems to be jumping from around +3V to +12V. No matter how much I adjust the pot I cannot get the power to remain consistent.. with a Jamma board plugged in that is. However, with no board plugged in, it acts fine and I can adjust to 12 on the dot. But whenever a pcb gets plugged in... it starts going crazy. I tried a different wall outlet and even routing the it through a power conditioner. No luck.
I cannot for the life of me figure out what is going on. I do not think its the PSU because I had this exact problem previously, ordered a new PSU from Taito Tech, installed it, and still the same exact problem.
Video output is fine, but since the 12volt powers the sound, I get no consistent audio...it just skips constantly. Unhooking the Speakers does not fix it either.
Anybody have any ideas what can be causing the 12volt to be freaking out? Or anyone local to S.F. that I can pay to come fix it for me?
This is my first candy cab, and its quickly turning into what should have been a happy experience into a completely depressing one.
