Anyhow for a year or so I had been working in the mornings and there has been this one fellow there. I would give him a hard time for standing around and not doing anything. Other than that he seemed like an okay guy.

Well, okay he was kind of a oddball really and everyone he worked with didn't like that he never did anything and got away with it.

Well no more worries about that cause he got arrested. Oh the people I work with.

Maybe in movies from the 80's but not these days , these perverts are usually sent to the special housing if not they can request it. When was the last time you heard a child molester or rapist ending up in general population? regardless he has maybe a couple of years in jail first and that's probably the unsafest place for inmate.

That may not be entirely true. Sure there is protective custody in some cases but there is a good amount of inmates who get silently knived if they're allowed to live in there at all.

I don't work in a prison I work in a jail (which is pre-trail) so I am not honestly sure. I imagine depending on the type of prison and inmates sure. At my jail its not very common, but there are some reported sexual assaults, not sure about non-reported ones. More times happen than anything really. One of the dorms at my facility essentially had a fight club going on in the bathroom area which was pretty weird. We also had one inmate get gang cock-slapped which then resulted in him having a psychotic break.

Yea exactly. They are under much stricter supervision although stuff still happens, and plenty of weird stuff too. It really depends on the facility and how good the COs are doing their jobs. I imagine in bigger city jails its much less controlled. Damn I'd be terrified to be in the Cook County Jail.
