I tried to make a SNES conversion of the Firemen out of an NHL Stanley Cup cart, but it's not working. From what I read, it should work, here is the cart info from the roms:

Cart Name: THE FIREMEN JAPAN0
Game Code: AFMJ
Contents: ROM
Map: LoROM
Speed: 0x30 (FastROM)
Type: 0x00
Size (calculated): 8Mbits
Size (header): 8Mbits
SRAM size: 0Kbits
Checksum (calculated): 0xFE8C
Checksum (header): 0xFE8C
Complement (header): 0x0173
Video Output: NTSC 60Hz
Revision: 1.0
Licensee: Human Entertainment
Region: Japan
CRC32: 0xE038E1CC

Cart Name: NHL STANLEY CUP
Game Code: ____
Contents: ROM+RAM+BAT
Map: LoROM
Speed: 0x30 (FastROM)
Type: 0x02
Size (calculated): 8Mbits
Size (header): 8Mbits
SRAM size: 16Kbits
Checksum (calculated): 0x3566
Checksum (header): 0x3566
Complement (header): 0xCA99
Video Output: NTSC 60Hz
Revision: 1.0
Licensee: Nintendo
Region: USA and Canada
CRC32: 0x584CE502

I also used a 27C801 eprom, and swapped the pins around like so:

PCB - eprom pin
a18 - a16
a17 - a19
oe - a18
a19 - a17
a16 - oe

All I get is a black screen. Do you have to remove the battery or clear the SRAM or something? I haven't really done any SNES conversions before, just a Starfox 2... I repaired the checksum on the ROM, removed the header, did all that good stuff. Cartridge contacts are super shiny. Not sure what the problem is, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
