Shermie's hamster?

I have a random stupid question which has nothing to do with gameplay, and I apologize in advance.

Shermie owns a hamster? I was noticing stories in the '98 KOF comic anthologies about her and her hamster, and in Gals' Fighters she wants a bigger cage because her hamster has had babies.

When the hell did she get the thing, and is it in any of the official bios? I can't find anything to back it up at the moment...

Well, to answer your question, yep. They don't talk much about the Hampster other than she has one and she loves it.

By the way, cool Fox-possessed Akari avatar. The funny thing is, I've only seen Fox version Akari in the PSX port of Last Blade 1. I've never seen her in the Arcade version, though I'd be interested if she was in it.
