Shaolin Soccer!!! Anyone Watched this Hong Kong movie?

First I thought this movie by Stephen Chow is rather shitty.

But it turned out to be a very funny and very spectacular one. I recommend it to all Hong Kong movie fans.

I got original HK DVD when it first came out and it is indeed an excellent movie.

I was at a big Easter Egg Hunt at my cousins' house. After I helped hosted the festivities, I went upstairs and there were like ten people watching this soccer flick.

I played Foozball (sp?) intitially but not before long this soccer movie attracted me.

"Hey this is pretty cool what's it called?"

"Shaolin Soccer."

"Oh really?"

"It's gonna be out in US theatres sometime."

"Cool."

I saw like the last 30 minutes of the film and it is really, really good. I never knew a soccer movie could be this enthralling, but I guess the director found my sweet spot. Great action.

It made me wanted to go home and pop in a little "WorldWide Soccer '97" for my Sega Saturn! You always can tell if a movie is good when it moves you to go do something, even as simple as playing a certain game.

Gotta like that Bruce Lee goalie!

This is an awesome movie, probably one of the best from Stephen Chow's many many movies over the years

I highly recommend it, and I bought it a few weeks ago on DVD. Screw Disney
