I planning to get some PCB boards from cosmicco,
when I saw some SEGA boards with a (HR).
Example are Virtua striker 98 and virtua fighter 3.
I e-mail them and they told me (HR) - games that need to use with high resolution monitor.
Does that mean I can't play on normal TV?
I getting a Sigma to play them, will it works on normal TV??
I dont wish to buy those games and it don work on TV.
Please help..... <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[Crying]" /> <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[Crying]" />

That is correct, anything from the Sega Model 2 and Model 3 series cannot work on a regular television. You will need a standard resolution type game to work on the Supergun system.

The same applies to Naomi games such as Crazy Taxi or Virtual Tennis.

VGA monitors will NOT work for these, either., HR monitors are double the frequency and resolution of standard.

Its a pity as I really like to play SEGA Virtua striker 99.
VGA monitor can't work too?
actually planing to use a XRGB upscan to connect it to my PC monitor?

Go for the upscan, and give us a report of your travels... :)

I talked with the guys over at Great Western Trading about getting an HGA and VF3 and they said they could do it but they'd have to mod the VF3 board to make it work.
