I just noticed this game for the first time. It looks like a solid racing game, and I think I saw connectors for two arcade machines to play against one anther.

So, I ask people who own it, do you recommend it? Does it have the connector for head2head racing on more than one cab? Is there another multiplayer option?

I might just have to pick this one up, if no one tells me it'll give me leprosy or something.

I have it on NGH, uhh its pants, mainly I have no debug bios and all the text in RPG mode are in japanese.

The home cart has a link port too, I wonder if you could link mvs->ngh and play.

I've got a 2-slot english board, so the japanese problem is moot. Anyone want to give a better description than 'pants'?

Think of Hangon, then remove the good control and playability and you have Riding Hero. Really, it is not terrible, but there is one huge problem. The road is too small. Basically it is barely big enough for your bike, which means passing people is an annoyance. And, the computer likes to whip by you from behind, sending you reeling into obstacles. :( It could have been really cool, but that is enough to kill it for me. It is almost unplayable on the later stages since the computer is so aggressive and sends you flying off the track almost constantly.

I had it for my NGH system up until I sold it in '94. I enjoyed playing it back then; it's kinda like Pole Position with bikes and slightly better graphics. ;)

Do other bikers challenge you to races in story mode? I seem to recall something like that, but it's been years since I played it. I'll probably pick it up on MVS at some point.

Its complete trousers, I love super hang on, but the game play in Riding hero doesnt compare, as mentioned the track is too narrow and the movement of the bike is naff. Its only worth having for the sake of something different for Neo, Hang On as the handlebars so feels more like a bike ( remember paperboy) one the otherhand Neo Driftout is ace without a stearing wheel.
This game is pants with skid marks <img src="graemlins/eek2.gif" border="0" alt="[Eek 2]" />

I think there many places where you can race but you should visit them on the right time . also , the amount of money you get depends on who you are racing with and sometimes, you need to visit certain places to meet other racers who will ask you to come, in the story

you won't find the same graphics found in Moto GP or new games . but the gameplay is still fun .just give it enough time and I am sure you will like it

Edit: if you got this game , we would like to hear your opinion m_bish0p

Riding Hero's story mode is quite cool IMO. You play a career of a biker which wants to drive the famous Suzuka 8 hour race one day. Once you manage to win some races and special tasks (e. g. races against a fast car), you will get money to buy tuning parts or new bikes.

If your bike is tuned, the races actually are fun, much better than that jerky GP mode. There are also dating-sim-like encounters, races on normal streets with traffic, etc.

I bought the Neo CD long ago, played the GP mode for like 20 mins, got bored and let it rest in the shelve for nearly two years. After reading some faqs, I digged it out and played the story mode for several days, and it was cool.

Go give it a try, it's worth it if you can forget about the crappy graphics.

I was about to race against that Diamond Dave guy, but always lost. After a few days, I couldn't take it much longer and stopped there, so no, I haven't completed it yet, tho I think I saw 90% of the game.

I have a short but sweet faq somewhere on a CD, it describes the main storyline and some of the ppl you will meet, but it isn't really "deep".

I had high hopes for this game back when NG first came out.

But it is just bad, even back in 1992 when I first bought the game.

I did finished it tho. Pretty easy as I recall.
