A business contact from Japan was kind enough to send me a mini review of RotD. This new title sounds (and looks) to be very promising. A tag-team MotW with Last Blade quality. What more could you ask for? (besides SNK vs Capcom)

I played Rage of the Dragons yesterday at Neo Geo Land 3, in Osaka. I believe the game is indeed a Double Dragon sequel, mainly because Jimmy and Billy are the two main characters. There is also a giant muscular character named Abubo.
ROTD very much reminds me of Mark of the Wolves, which as we all know is a GOOD thing. The anatomy of the characters is great, all really well drawn. The animation is also very good, not quite MOTW, but on par with Last Blade. However, it's some of the character designs, and standing animation that bears a strong likeness to MOTW. Jimmy looks like Capcom's Captain Commando, but animates like Rock Howard. A character named Radel looks like Urien from Street Fighter III. There is also a Mr. Jones, who has a big afro and wears a yellow body suit like Bruce Lee's in the movie, Game of Death. Overall, the background graphics are very colorful, and well done.
With a button layout like MOTW, ROTD controls very nicely, and makes pulling off combos a snap. I'm a so-so player, and I was able to beat it on the first try. Also, in ROTD, it appears that you need to beat each opponent with a high ranking, or desperation move to fight the real last boss like MOTW. One of the cooler features is an in-game character switch like Kizuna Encounter's. This is achieved by using one full power guage and pushing the B & C buttons together. Your second character then zips in and bops your opponent, how rude!
Evoga's logo appears in the beginning of the game, with Noise Factory's logo sprinkled throughout the in-game graphics. I'm curious as to where this game was made, 'cause whoever made it, did a great job.
