Question about snaplock cases

I'm just wondering when the snaplock cases were introduced and what the first game was in this case.

Didn't SNK like the old cases anymore or something?

The oldest one I've seen with a snaplock case is Sam Sho 3, but there may have been one before that.

Fatal Fury 3 was the first home cart title to get a snaplock case release.
