Hello all,
I am considering buying a "PS2 Slide-Card with Swap Magic V3.6 Plus"
As u all know it allows user to play import games without modding your system.
It is looking very cool now, since KOF Neowave and KOF 94 REBOUT is only coming for the XBOX in the US and Canada.
My question is should I get the Swap magic or wait for the XBOX versions?

Many Thanks for any suggestions :)

All the SNK / Playmore games I've tried work fine with the slide card / SwapMagic. They also work nicely on the HDD if you have that set up (reduces load times to almost nothing).

The only catch is that some menus and options are in Japanese (usually nothing vital so it's not really a big deal) and you'll probably lose online capabilities if the games have them.

However, if you already have an XBOX, I'd say just wait for those versions if you don't mind the wait.

If you're gonna' mod a PS2, I'd say to with the flip top mod and Swap Magic disks.
There's a chance the slide-card could really mess up your drive tray.

If you want to wait, Rebout comes out in November (supposively.) --For XBox

thanks for the info and the advice It is greatly appreciated, I have heard about problems about the slide card, about it at times being flimsy and unreliable.

I wish the PS2 could see more SNK playmore releases this year, but with Sony's resistance, XBOX is getting all the SNK love :(
The XBOX controller is more suited for FPSs' than 2D fighters
I also am skeptical that KOF REBOUT is coming out in November
But I am happy we are seeing Neowave and Rebout, better late than never :smirk:

So, don't use an XBox pad. Get a stick, man.
November is SNKPs date right now, which means it'll probably get pushed back to December or January. :(

been considering getting a joystick , preferably the SF Anniver. Joystick.
At least Neowave and Rebout are coming
What I have heard that in Japan, Neogeo Battle Coliseum and SS:Tenka have been announced for PS2 already!! and those games just game out for Japanese arcades
I hope we see them in the west for XBOX , preferably PS2
I havent seen too many atomiswave games here in Trinidad
Heck, the only Atomiswave game I seen/ played in Trinidad is Demolish Fist
and Rumble Fish...
