I have been reading through every posting concering yesterdays event.
It is true that me and Victor struck that deal but he also mentioned that he was in this with Ray from D&R. They are partners where Ray is the front selling the items and Corona taking care of the technical part.
Like I said I have been ripped off many times in this business so I have a hard time trusting anybody, sad.
It should not surprise me if the whole thing was a set-up. Corona ripping me off taking the blame but both still in buinsess cause D&R games is their front and people will buy these items through Ray.
Lord Akidadus, dragging shame over the reputation of !arcade! by saying "!arcade! wants me out of business, the whole thing was a set-up" does not justify stealing other peoples property.
It is like you said you are doing this like a hobby so I do not understand why someone as !arcade! should fear you enough to put you out of business. As far as I am concerned and from what I have heard you are not playing straight.
Also everybody is wondering where we buy our products. We have several sources. Yes Yahoo Japan is one of them. You can make some pretty good deals over there that is for sure.
Another good source is a friend of Mr.Takeda who is owning several second hand game shops.
We also had some sources for new products but they are now drained.
And about my partnership with Ray at the !arcade! I think it will benefit all of us.
I might be flamed for saying this but.....
Of all the sellers operating at the neo-scene you need this guy most of all.
He has the ability to carry on the torch for you, I for starters have not. I think that with him on the scene we will see new games and new products coming to life. You do not have to like this guy(I do)he is a seller. And the sellers most important feature is to be trustworthy and Ray is just that.
My boss(Mr.Takeda) is not running a game company. He is the VD of a real estate firm. He has no idea what is going on over here, not really. He is still making the important decisions but to him this is more like a hobby project.
I named my stores Kaiten and Advena systems. Kaiten for you guys and Advena for the business in Japan. One of the reasons for this was because I thought that people might avoid a game store named after a company selling condos.
Anyway with Rays help we have now the opportunity to step up from the hobby level and make some real money. All it takes are some investements.
I talked with Takeda on the phone yesterday and said "Lets go out in bigger scale I want a homepage with a company URL and I want a big advertise in game magazines)"
And if everything falls through perhaps we can give the tired NeoGeo a new face in Japan as well.
There is a market here for products like the Phantom-1, unreleased carts. And perhaps we can even give Ray a reason to release the AES2 system. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
