I'm PM'ing Shawn, and the Mod's to try and get a decision on this now, it's been too long with no official word. I think that the majority of people who cared enough to reply to this thread agree that a Perma-Ban was too harsh and he should be let back.

I can't seem to get a good reason as to why. Because he supports ROM's and emulation? So do I. Hell I'm going to build a MAME cabinet in a year, should I be banned? I know people on this boards who are a lot more into emulation and bootelg stuff than either I or Japhei are.

My point is that yeah he screwed up once, but others to agree that he shouldn't be Perma-Banned. I'm trying to help a friend out here, because I know he's not a scammer, which he is being portrayed as.

NeoCell has been working w/ Japhei to sell his stuff. He pointed to Japhei's feed back and auction lists and email. NeoCell is not Japhei.

I'm just trying to clear the record, that's all.

Just my opinion, but I don't think he was banned just for selling the copies but also for the defensiveness and arrogance of his replies when he was confronted about it. Regardless, selling copied games is wrong, but a permanent ban is to extreme.

true a permanent ban is extreme but hey he's still soliciting the forums in one way or another through other people (neocell). he shouldn't have came in with "if you don't like it fuck you" attitude if you sell roms or even give them away you do that shit in private not for the world to see because you may like the reaction which it causes (gas to an open flame)

I couldn't agree more. I don't think open selling of ROM's or burns should be allowed. He's told me he won't be selling them anymore here if he's allowed back. He wants to deal in MVS carts as well as some other goodies, not bootlegs or ROM's.

I just say that a Perma-Ban is too extreme and that he should be allowed back.

I disagree. After his latest MS1 scam in the sale forums I think a permanent ban was fully appropriate and in retrospect an excellent call by the mods.

Every post this guy made was about ROMz or CDR's. He had an excellent eBay record and just wanted to use this site to peddle his warez.

You will notice that he has a custom rank for the time being. It will be lifted after some period of time.

And, from now on, ANY CDRs of games, or ROM CDs that are posted for sale on the boards here will result in a PERMANENT BAN, no questions asked, no appeals, no second chances. There is a new note added to the top of the selling forum informing users of this.

We also will not allow links to auctions in the Selling Forum. That forum is for sales on this site, not to advertise auctions at another site. You can still point to your Ebay (or X auction site) feedback, but not to actual auctions themselves in the Selling Forum.

As long as KS remains here there is pressure for him to refund the $1600 he stole from Bahamut. If he is banned, that pressure is gone and there is less of a chance of some kind of refund. He can always browse here anyway, its not a closed forum, so banning him doesn't really accomplish much at all. When he does post here on rare occasion, its usually accompanied by quite a few followup posts from members here asking when he plans to refund the money to Bahamut . . . the issue never goes away.
