I hope like Hell that this is just a rumor or Steele doing one of his jokes/pranks/faking his death.

My wife and I are HUGE Type O fans and this would be devastating if it's true. :crying:

Guess I should go play the superior version of "Summer Breeze" right now in his honor if he's really dead, which I hope he's not. Though I didn't realize Type 0 Negative was still even around?

No more nights of blood & fire.

Evan Seinfeld of Biohazard and KNAC are confirming that it's true. :crying:

This is truly a sad day in the music world.

I haven't felt this shitty since Dimebag Darrell died.

We have lost an icon. I'm so thankful that I discovered their music when I did a few years ago. Steele wrote many great and touching songs that I could relate to. He will be truly missed.

interesting. it was only a week ago, while listening to "everything dies" i explained to my girlfriend how amazing it was that a man with such a dark mind has survived for so long.

i figured his body would've given out a long time ago.

not even close. Type O Negative is the style of music.

saw em last Halloween. Peter was looking rough too. Had a hard time walking to the mic. Still killed it though. Coulda used more songs from Bloody Kisses though.

This is some really shitty news to wake up to. :(

I'm a big fan of the band, and really wanted to see them the next time they were in the Philly area.

I guess I'll have to toss in Bloody Kisses and Life is Killing Me today in tribute to the fifteen-balled beast.

One of my favorite bands.:(

I'm just happy I've seen them in concert. I was thinking of seeing them again soon. Oh well.

I loved Type O Negative. I got on board in High School and loved them ever since. Perfect combination of Black Sabbath and Beatles how can you not love them? Currently listening to "These Three Things". Amazing band and love the humor and deadpan seriousness all in one 18 MIN song. Such a shame.:crying:

Two steps forward, three steps back
Without warning, heart attack
He fell asleep in the snow
Never woke up, died alone
