I, for one, am glad it's comin' out. Well.... I won't be TRUELY glad unless it's released here... and online. I look at it this way: Now I can own the full series. And who knows what other little goodies are in the game besides team edit (which they truthfully COULD have kept...)? You know what old-school feature I miss, though? The ability to charge up your super meter. That's one of the things that set KOF apart from other fighting games, for me. I wish they'd bring it back. You can have both ways of building up your super meter in the game... WITHOUT some crappy "Groove edit", or deciding "Advance".....

The PS2 controller will be fun and nostalgic at the same time...

What gets me in that pic is the fog. Like, "England is foggy! Put in fog." Even though you can still see a perfectly blue sky behind it, the background is covered by a repeating fog pattern. It looks more like some super villain used some kind of smoke machine to cover his escape from a bank robbery. Also notice that despite the thick "fog", both fighters still have sharp, dark shadows on the ground.

Ever since these shots started appearing, my mantra has been: "maybe it will look better in motion. maybe it will look better in motion."

Every game SNKP has ported, I couldn't wait to get them. Always anticipating a US release; getting disappointed by delays or cancellations. This game I honestly don't give a mad fuck about. It's not KOF '94, it's not...anything. Keep it over there for all I care. Wouldn't mind the pad, though. (if the game does come out here, I'll most likely still get it)

edit: I just watched the video finally, and it does look a little better in motion, but the backgrounds still look empty without your teammates. And it looks like that wasn't meant to be fog in the England stage, which is a relief, although I don't know what it is supposed to be.

Have a question for you guys
Just checked IGN PS2 and I found an article about KOF '94 Re-Bout
the writer says

"The game's backgrounds have been updated to 3D, but they can be
switched back to the original 2D backdrops if desired (the 2D versions
run in the same resolution as the arcade version, unfortunately)."

Is it true? :spock: 'Cause I'd change my opinion about this port (3D stages sucked
so far, original BGs would be sweet)

yes. someone said that the original Neo-Geo game is included in Re-Bout.
