How do you compare Bloodborne to this game? Bloodborne is brutal, this game has been brutal at times, but it seems very well balanced overall.

I just find BB to be a better game overall. Its total package is more enjoyable to me than Nioh. I did find Nioh to be a lot easier than BB.

Never invested my time nor moneys to this or BB.

Both are 7.99 at bestbuy so I think I will give them a go.

Which should I fire up first not having played either?

Bloodborne. 100%. I actually really liked Nioh too. But Bloodborne all the way.

Also, get the DLC. Shits tight.

The actual gameplay in both is similarly challenging. BB has the usual Souls-style of world design, i.e. it can be confusing as hell sometimes, whereas Nioh has discrete, smaller levels that still leave plenty of room to explore, but are much easier to navigate.

I like Nioh better overall, but both are excellent. Bloodborne is maybe a little more refined, but it also puts a lot more limits on how you can build.
