Ok, final design. This one uses candy cab buttons and joystick. Ignore the current stick as it looks like a Happ stick. This is more for the case look. It will be hard to procure the buttons and joystick I think. Weight, around 10 pounds. Could take quite a beating unless your a trained fighter. Not as tough as Sigma stick though.

How are you gonna cut the wood that small and put it toegether? It's gonna be tough man, but if you can oull it off, damn it'd be mad impressive.

I'm replying here to your question about getting the candy joysticks and buttons. As you said, arcade-infinity is the only place I know of. The other thing I was going to mention is that the candy cab japahese buttons are designed to snap into a metal control panel. I don't know how they will work in a thicker wood panel. You might consider doing the top in metal.

Ultimarc does sell a Japanese-type stick:

As for the buttons, I think they're easy to get hold of as Naomi cabs also use those. Happ does seem to have them too:

They look identical to the Seimitsu screw type:

The cycles are suspect for long use... about 1/10th the cycles as compared to HAPPS Ultimate buttons.

I sure could use some of those candy buttons to fix damaged HORI control. They look to be the same depth.
