I've been searching this but I have not found the answer.

Are there any differences on the boards between the English and Japanese AES version of the same game?

What about dog tag vs Euro versions of the same game?

This is the only site I know that has some AES scans: http://www.arcade-collector.com/neogeo.php

Any others?

Thanks,

No, there is no difference. SNK made one giant batch of ROM chips and two giant batches of MVS and AES cartridge boards for each Neo Geo game, the artwork means fuck all.

no difference at all. All regions are within the same ROM set.

Alright... So, we are paying hundred(s) for a sticker and an insert. Beautiful.

Example: Ninja Masters JPN vs English version. Joy...

Thanks for the responses.

Wouldn't a supposed "NeoGeoFanatic" know these things already?

That is the main reason why I don't even bother with English versions of AES games.

Japanese versions are not only much cheaper in most cases, but often times I find the Japanese inseet art superior since it doesn't have that ugly grey border.

Just a small note: We say "JPN" here, not "JAP". The latter is a derogatory term and should be avoided. Thank you.

Lol. I was born in Kassel so don't think I'm singling you out for no reason

Seen my custom title? That should answer your question.

There's a difference between tongue-in-cheek and an actual derogatory term.

Tak don't you think the war room is the best place to crack jokes? Like a 2 week stay with special accommodations for the noob?

That was in poor taste! Deserved

That reply reveals, you're already familiar with these...

Pretty insane what people will pay for different cover art. Then again, people pay hundreds more for a bland cardboard shipping box. To each their own.
