Neo geo 1 slot help

Can someone help me with my neo geo 1 slot? It boots to menu when a game is not inserted but when I put in any game it only shows a blank screen. Its the same on all three cabs.

Is it broken or am I missing something here? Used to work fine until recently.

Check to make sure dip 8 isn't on.

erm i just reseted the nvram and now it works.. i did notice switch 8 was on... maybe that was the problem. What does dip 8 do?

Pauses the game. If it's on the game won't fully boot.
