Need help with MLB 2K games

I just got MLB2K6 on the 360 on rental from Gamefly. I haven't played a baseball game since Neo-Geo's Baseball Stars. I have no manual and no online FAQ. I can't even figure out how to swing. I move the right stick and my guy sometimes moves his bat. :-( Anyone play these games who can explain how the heck this works? I must be retarded.

I said that there is no FAQ for the game. I am literally unable to play the game, I can't even hit a ball because the batting system makes no sense without a tutorial or manual or something

If it is like 2k7 then this is how it works.

When the pitch is thrown you pull back on the right stick and let go when you want to make contact with the ball. It takes a little bit to get used to.

I would check the options and see if they have one to switch the batting interface to the classic one since that option is in 2k7.
