Hi,
I´ve build my first MVS converter today. Means i´ve soldered sound and picture and then starting the probs.

Sound works nicely but the picture. If i turn it on you see only a light picture and it´s all grey.

I´ve checked the cables but they´re alright.

What happens there?

Sounds like your TV is trying to use composite when you are inputting RGB into it. Have you got the blanking pin connected to +5v via a 100 ohm resistor?

No, i don´t know that i have to. Should the resistor be soldered on the scart pin or on the jamma pin?

The JAMMA connector has no blanking pin, it is only used for SCART TV's, not arcade monitors.

You can fit the resistor inside the SCART plug if you like. It is pin 16 from memory, but double check that.

Another problem could be that the SCART plug you are using on the TV is composite only. Are you sure it supports RGB?

100 ohms are soldered in it´s a little bit better to see but it´s grey.
You think i need another scart cable?

It sounds like the scart socket you are using is only wired for composite and not RGB. Try another scart socket.

I´ve got it!
The scart cable couldn´t work with RGB. Now it´s rockin´.

Thank´s to you.
