The Big Lebowski:

Pretty awesome and I can't believe I never watched it until today. I didn't find it super funny, but, I really enjoyed the ridiculous storyline and characters. Crom protect me from ever having a friend like John Goodman's Walter--he's what I imagine Eric Cartman might grow up to be like. And fook me when I disagreed with someone here that Sam Elliot doesn't hold the gold standard for mustaches because he certainly does. Since we've been talking about RHCP lately, Flea is in this for no earthly reason too. Bonus features were pretty good as well. The Dude abides. 9/10 stars.

Walter is based on John Milius writer of Conan, Red Dawn, Apocalypse Now, Jeremiah Johnson and some of Dirty Harry. The guy is crazy as fuck.

Spring Breakers? I can't remember if I actually liked it but I do remember James Franco going "SPRING BREEEAAAAKKKK" and having a platinum grill and corn rows.

By far the best thing Korine was ever involved in was his Letterman appearances.

Yes. Saying Blues Brothers is boring doesn't even constitute a legitimate opinion. BigTinz saying he likes Goldeneye more than Casino Royale is an opinion. A bad one, yes, but still an opinion.

But this... This is more like a Declaration of Stupidity.
My apologies for my 2010 opinion, STK, and everyone else who felt betrayed by my rush to judgement against the film. I recently watched Blues Brothers again for the Youtube video I'm working on, and I can see where I was wrong on Blues Brothers. I think I came at it with the wrong mindset seeing it for the first time in 2010, expecting a laugh a minute or something. I came in with different expectations watching it this time, and thought it was really great -- an obvious true classic with artistic and comedic vision. I love the characters. Also, the songs can still sometimes drag a bit, but the star power is amazing. It's long for a comedy, and I respect that the artistic vision wasn't compromised.

M buys stupid shit part 63-1/3: Who's better at solving crimes, a yellow electric rat or a pair of gay chipmunks?

It's a pet peeve of mine: one of Detective Pikachu's 2 discs came loose in transit and got scuffed up inside the sealed package. That happens a lot (as well as said button just outright breaking); I wish they'd design cases with tighter/stronger disc hole clips.

427 million worldwide for Godzilla vs Kong, 95 million domestic. It just might crawl to 100 million domestic before it's done.

The last major territory for it to release in is Japan. Godzilla 2014 and King of the Monsters both did between 25-30 million in Japan, while Kong: Skull Island did 17 million, so it should put up pretty decent numbers when it finally does release there.

Seems unlikely the movie will hit 500 million worldwide at this point but it's by far the most successful Hollywood film of the pandemic era.

Watch this, it's worth the $4 rental from Amazon Prime.
I really enjoyed this, but the ending sorta threw the whole thing off for me.

Spoilers:
It's been a few years since I saw it, but the movie comes to a head and basically tells us that Paul Dano's character has essentially hallucinated the entire experience. But then outta nowhere, Harry Potter starts farting it up and takes off into the sea, making it real after all. I think the movie would have been better served with Dano's character just being a broken dude. But that's just me.

Oh boy, Slither is one of my favorite movies ever and so is Tremors.

Regarding the end of Swiss Army Man:
I don't see it as it all being real just that when they see him take off in the water they have the same reaction that Paul Dano did the first time. It's purposefully ambiguous but I'm okay with that.

I know it's been said before but both Daniel Radcliffe and Elijah Wood have gone to make some really great little indie movies since HP and LOTR ended. It's cool that they have the freedom to basically say fuck it and do whatever they want which happens to be making quirky shit.

I'm in the same boat. I just wish the movie would've picked a lane and stuck with it. It's otherwise entertaining but the ambiguity doesn't do it any favors.

Joe Vs The Volcano.

Great 80s (oh shit, made in 90) ridiculousness.

Polynesian islanders with a celtic/druid/jewish background signing Hava Nagila and a penchant for orange soda.
Abe Vigoda as Toby, the chief.
Nathan Lane as a priest.
Ossie Davis as one of the raddest limo drivers ever.
Meg Ryan at her most Meg Ryan-ness.

Love this flick.

Rosemary's baby - classic, hadn't seen this in over ten years, good blu-ray transfer too. 3/5

Four Lions - Four fuckups want to become jihadists, rather funny dark comedy, the police sniper scene is hilarious 3/5

The Booksellers

Documentary on the Antiquarian book trade with a focus around NYC. Many parallels to video games given the physical nature.

I watched Star Wars Rise of Skywalker and it is the worst of the mainline Star Wars movies.

Naw man, its not as bad as Last Jedi. It REALLY stinks, (Space Horses on a star destroyer? wtf) but its not as dumb as Last Jedi.
