Since I won't buy the AES version, I might as well get the DC version.

For those of you who owned, and has played this game on DC, I got some questions.

Does the animation on DC anywhere near the Neo's? How about frames? Are there a lot of missing frames in the DC version?

Overall, does the GAMEPLAY close to that of Neo's (for what it's worth)??

edit: How about the language? Can it be changed just like the Neo version?

i think the neo version is better it seems faster and the dreamcast version seems to have some slowdown just before he does his special the only thing i really liked about the dreamcast is that it looks better with higher resolution all in all i think the neo version wins.

I would buy the Dreamcast version if I was you! Not unless you have really played the AES/MVS version you will never be able to tell a diffence. Plus the cheapest AES version I have seem was $450.00 and you can get the Dreamcast version for $19.95 at funcoland.

WTF, the DC version is beyond arcade perfect!! I've played the game at my supermarket down the street on MVS and the DC version is better IMO. Plus you'll save half a friggin grand!!!!!

hehe, I have to agree with this, GGX technically eclipses MOTW 10X over, IMO motw is the same as MVS on dc. And if it isn't, it's cause SNK sucks at ports (big surprise).

Fran your starting to turn into a rabit homecart fanboy, stop paying so much for games and maybe you'll calm down...

Anyway, thanks for all opinions guys, now I can buy this game without any concern!

edit: One unanswered question, is it possible to change the language just like Neo?

I bought this game and I love it. I don't know how the Neo version is as I don't have 600$ for the AES, I also do not have a supergun. Finally, you will never see an arcade in Oklahoma with Neo games. If you like Tekken and grab machines, you're in luck.

The differences are minute, yet are just noticable enough for me to somewhat be bothered by the DC version. Sure, it's still a great game on the DC, but why bother when perfection is available through MVS or AES. For this game, price was not an issue for me.

If you have the means of playing it the way it was intended to be played (MVS, AES) then do it that way. The DC version is inferior; Sound problems, grpahics not as crisp as they were on a Neo with good outputs or on MVS through RGB, animation on the select screen poor and slow, other animations slow as well, and I could go on and on (like the minute but noticeable load times).

I smell burning bullshit...

sound problems? is your dreamcast jacked? cause mine sounds perfect....

graphics not as crisp? bwahahaha, you mean not as pixilated as the Neo, the DC version is in higher res, infact it looks smoother, in vga it's even better.

animation "slow"? What the hell is this? man your smoking that good shit, and the game in RGB fucking floors the neo version, ive seen both!

BOTH soundtracks in the dc version, SUPERIOR.

well, if you're looking the price - get the DC version.

but if you want a real 2-players fight with amazing animation, get the original (AES or MVS).

I own the 2 version. most people who prefered the DC version don't own the original or play it at arcade. I've analized it, and DC is good, but not good as AES or MVS.

So you notice no delay in sound? At all? Also, the arranged soundtrack is cool, but bland.

I've ran both the DC and AES versions side to side using similar video inputs and 1. The AES version is Crisp. The DC versionlooks smoother, but at the same time, it also looks washed out. 2. Watch the animation on the character select screen, it appears choppier and slower. 3.The blue KO zoom in when you win with a super move is also much slower in the DC version.

I stand by this opinion.

I know my review on this site may make my stance seem different, but I have had a lot more time to fuck around with both versions.

End.

The only thing that the average would notice are load times. Other than that you are just being a pickey bitch. However I have heard people shout attacks seconds after they have already done them, this could stem from the way the DC plays the game.
