Just managed to get my supergun working with my MV-1C, hooked up via RGB Scart to my Samsung plasma tv.
Everything looks great however I have weird shadows and checkerboard transparencies on some games.
The worst is Shock Troopers with the shadows of the characters appearing to have horizontal lines instead of full rounded shadows.

I guess its something to do with the 480i-240p conversion taking place inside the tv?

From what I've observed of Shock Troopers, it appears to use full-opaque shadows, except for when the whole character sprite is being flickered.
However, as most pseudo-transparency effects include a 60hz flicker, it would make a lot of sense that a modern display would misinterpret those alternating 240p frames as the interleaved fields of 480i.

Hello. This is a well-known issue on digital flat screens. This is one reason people buy an upscaler such as the XRGB Mini/Framemeister.

damn, is there anything else that can be done to maybe force the tv to do 240p.
Looks like I need the OSSC.
