No, I kind of don’t.
Most of these musicians are just bad people. I love guys like Freddy Mercury as performers, but hiring dwarves to walk around his parties with mirrors on their heads holding piles of cocaine is not a cool move in 2019. I am okay with the fact Mercury wasn’t perfect though. I don’t need that to validate my taste in music. I don’t mind if HP Lovecraft was a racist, Al Franken a groper, Mike Tyson a wife beater, etc. we can separate a man from his work.

Director of the movie Dan Reed did an interview recently. Highlights:
-Has received constant death threats since the film was announced. They had to bring bomb sniffing dogs to the Sundance premiere, the first time that has happened.
-Says he has received more threats from people about this documentary than the documentaries he made about ISIS, 9/11, organized crime in Liverpool, or the Mumbai terror attacks.
-Believes that Jackson paid off many more accusers than the ones we know about, going all the way back into the early 1980s
-Wants to make a sequel focusing on the other accusers, most notably Jordan Chandler and Gavin Arvizo, but Chandler has been in hiding since 1994 and he can't even find him. Arvizo is in law school and says he just wants to move on with his life. So he doesn't know if a sequel will happen.
-More people have contacted him saying Jackson abused them but he hasn't been able to vet their claims so he hasn't brought those claims public
-Believes some of the boys who came forward and denied Jackson abused them are still protecting him as Wade and James did, but will not challenge their claims publicly as he doesn't want to "out" anyone who isn't ready to come forward.
