Metal Slug 1 High Score Thread

Time to start a new one, the old threads are all full of broken code/bad picture links, and my posts under wasabi's name.

I'm playing on a Neo Geo X, no save states or anything like that, default difficulty.

It has been forever and a day since I played this seriously so my scores are terrible, but you can either do a Mission 1 score challenge or a 1 credit score challenge.

I will start this off with my terrible 1 credit attempt: Game Over at the beginning of Mission 5. This was mostly just an attempt to see how far I could get and I wasn't taking many opportunities to run up my score.

Mission 1 score challenge, this is pretty respectable I think. I sort of forget how the 1000 point cannon trick works. Will have to practice.

Thought I could break 200k on Mission 1 before I quit for the night.

I got 198,590. I still can't get the feel back for the cannon trick.

Ok, I've been holding out for a good score, but haven't been doing so well. Way out of practice. Got 423,980, that's the best I can do right now.

I'm makin some progress. I got 170k on mission 1 and 367,630 for total (died on mission 3). MVS - level 4

anyone who seriously plays this game for score will destroy this in a second, but awhile back I played the shit out of slug1 until I got the 1cc, then I kinda never really played it since...I doubt I could even 1cc it now lol. But I took this picture because I was proud as it was one of my first 1cc's
