jesus christ! I guess I can partly understand why you guys would preffer the large gothig logo on the spine and not the one found on the front, but I can not, in any way, understand how you could like that nasty-assed black bar across the bottom as it just ruins the whole insert.

I vote for coles design......PERIOD. if that happens I will buy a copy GARAUNTEED.

Ah yes! I just casted my vote and it looks like most people feel the same way I do about the insert. :D Cool... :D

Agreed here, I think the revised insert looks better (without the black bar at the bottom) BUT with the English "Matrimelee" on the spine rather than the Japanese logo.

This is pretty funny, almost all the questions are ALMOST at 50/50!

Personally I like the borderless insert and the Japanese logo, but whatever whay it turns out, the insert still looks pretty damn good, I think anyway...

Voted. While not an official choice, this one is still my favorite:

It keeps "SUN" on the black background so it looks stronger and it also adds depth to the cover by having the characters beyond the borders of the black frame. I think the black makes the colors more vivid too.

Regardless though, the art for this game is just too good. :D

guys, please get one thing straight: the logo on the spine of the revised insert IS NOT a japanese logo, it is the ENGLISH LOGO. it just contains japanese characters, no big deal.

English letters look cooler than Japanese characters because I can read them.

Well, if it comes down to 1 vote being the difference, I meant to choose the "border-style with no black bar" option - clicked the wrong circle. I never did claim to be too bright, though... wink

is the best design as far as I'm concerned. And like someone else said, if you use the Japanese logo, there won't be enough of a difference between the two...

Sense where redesigning inserts why not remove the lil' japanese logo from the front of the insert and replace it with the gothic title from the spine to clean it up....

Wow, the results are pretty close (51% vs 49%)... I voted for no border, japanese style and current design. Well it looks so good, I am almost tempted to get this new game! :D

I think the MVS cart and box looks so much better......lol. I actally think the revised one "looks" the best. It reminds me of the Art of Fighting 3 US insert. I actually think that the one that RyoGeo made is the BEST one of them all. That insert just kinda "Feels" like the old school Neo Geo US home cart inserts. Nice job! Just glad you didn't decide to do a Landscape cover like KOF2000 insert.....

If you voted 'looks better with borders' and 'english style' logo that is what the insert would look like. (there would be a sun logo on the spine also though) The third question is a bit inane and I think has caused a bit of confusion because the revised insert displayed in it has the full size logo on the spine instead of simply matrimelee. In reality, it should display 2 versions, 1 with matrimelee on spine, and 1 with the full size logo on the spine. This would probably explain why while 'with borders' leads but in that question the current insert is some votes ahead.


The other issue is insert color, you can refer to my post in the other poll <a href="http://www.neo-geo.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=18;t=008392;p=1" target="_blank">here</a> for all sorts of color variations. 3/4ths down the first page is where you will find it. Black, as RyoGeo said, also looks VERY nice because it makes the sun logo look that much better. That would be my 2nd choice behind white. There are also other variations like grey, yellow, and orange. In the end though, a proper color poll is probably not necessary. White would more than likely edge anything else out, it is the inserts original color after all. But you never know for sure. wink
