It's an XBL Indie Game, and it is pretty awesome. It's basically a mix between a beat'em up, Gauntlet, and a tower defense game. Has 4 player co-op, but it's local-only. Costs 240MSP.

I actually just tried this for the first time yesterday after downloading a massive amount of trials and loved it. There aren't too many Indie games that I'm a big fan either.
I didn't think there would be a thread dedicated to this game.

On an unrelated note, I enjoed Yukkuri no meikyuu, X OVER and Crescendo Symphony: Kagami no Kishi as well.
Ninja Chop! was pretty entertaining

Me too. The only thing remotely close to a TD game I like is Rampart.

This would be a much better game with online co-op.

(Or with me having friends who would actually play something like this with me.)

A full-on XBLA release costing a little more would been perfect though.

Still, it's a great little title.

Quite fun.

The soundtrack is catchy as hell, also.

I would suggest that those who usually don't do tower defense would even enjoy this, as those elements are pretty light and very easy to manage- you can alter your play style to make your hacking, slashing, and spells about as important as your tower building.
