I don't have a modded one, but I do have 2 (one official, one 3rd party) Saturn controllers if you're interested in trying to mod them yourself.

I have the original Saturn hand controller (big bulky one) that has been modded to work on the Neo.

Everytime I put it up for sale, no one responds; so I decided to keep it.

Contact me if your still interested.

Yeah, I managed to mod my Saturn pad too...
There's a thread of mine in Tech support with links about that <a href="http://www.neo-geo.com/cgi-local/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=5&t=002329," target="_blank">http://www.neo-geo.com/cgi-local/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=5&t=002329,</a> including one that explains it in some detail:
<a href="http://www.neo-geo.com/cgi-local/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=5&t=001621" target="_blank">http://www.neo-geo.com/cgi-local/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=5&t=001621</a>

Anyway I'm not that sure every Saturn pad can be modded in the same way. I modded the official new version black pad, that has the IC chip. However there's the same pad in white (Japanese version), but it didn't have the IC chip (just a black spot in the middle) so it would have been harder to modify.

I have modded the european new style pad (black)

the jap white and grey ones
as well as the clumsy old style pal pad!

and they are working perfect!

As I said I modded the European new style pad. However I opened the jap version of it (the same but white) and there was no IC chip inside so it would have been more difficult to mod due to the lack of good soldering spots. So did you white one have the IC?
