Don't quite see the connection, but I can always help put an end to that wonder next time I'm in England
So this was actually a TV series and not an OVA? I know it's from the PS-original Athena game. I just did not think it did so well to commission a network television series.

I guess it was some kind of multimedial project then... :o
Anyway, I didn't even knew the OVA applied also for real-action products... wow!
Anyway, thank Jon for reporting that cool auction!
If not that pricy...

Well, it does not. As A=animation, obviously it can't apply. I was merely using OVA to imply a made-for-video production, which as we know is precisely what the acronym signifies.

In fact what I meant was I didn't know it actualòly existed also 'made-for-homevideo' real-action productions in Japan'

You might be able to rent it at any Japanese grocery store. Here in the US, these grocery stores always have drama video series. I know this because I gf always rents these all the time and watches them from start to finish (and then becomes a zombie for the next few days). It would probably be in the Dorama section, I guess that's self evident.

I don't know, I always thought they did, just not very much..
Did they actually use one of Athena's voices as the star of the series?

A side question, Neo Bomber Man...
I'm taking a look at your informative page, and there seems to be an error. On your listing of ports to the Dreamcast, you say that Twinkle Star Sprites "does not exist". This isn't true, for I own a Japanese copy. If you would like pictures I can scan them and provide them for you.

That would be the English version. The game would only be listed there at all if it existed as a DC conversion, with Japanese and English releases listed under the corresponding headings. If you click on the Twinkle Star Sprites it even links to a picture
Once I settle on a new design I will re-do all those tables though to make it all (hopefully) stand out a bit more. Thanks a lot though for letting me know anyhow, and I could probably do with a better scan of the cover for when I really get back to work on the site next month.

Ooops... my mistake.
The background pictures on your website sometimes overlap over the text, making some of the words hard to read. I went back to the page, and noticed the word "English" over the column.
If you want to use background photos, it would be better if you made the opacity of the images a little less. That way, they would look faint in the background, yet visual. This might help with the text especially if it overlaps.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm still trying to decide what I really want out of a re-design, and that occaisional problem with the tables is a big consideration for me.
Oh, and to stay on topic, I don't suppose anyone has release info or anything for the Athena series? I would like to list it on my video pages.

Do you mean the classic 8-Bit, or the supposed sim? I remember seeing some movie footage from a supposed Athena game that looked more like a "dating sim", or one of those Japanese "reality games". The animation looked great, but the movie was pretty lenghty and a tad boring.
On top of that, this a LONG time ago and I can't remember the URL. It's one of those things you would stumble upon in Japanese sites by accident by doing random clicks. I'll have to see if I can stumble upon that again.

Actually I meant this live-action series... me and my vagueness... Although, if you have any info about that "reality" game of Athena, that would also be much appreciated. I don't think I bookmarked that page.
