Let me direct it. I guarantee you I would have made the clash of two horror movie icons a bonafide B-movie classic, then that crap they put on... you know, the one that is America's #1 movie right now (based on sales)

I'm serious, I almost wanted to cry watching it. So much fucking potential... and so little done with it.

Myers is the originator, and he's still by far the best. Nothing can beat out the boogeyman who pops out on Halloween night in a white emotionless mask to slaughter... now there's a storyline that you almost gravitate towards!

His original movie's still one of the best horror films of all time.

ehh all of em suck when compared to leatherface; that guy would cut you up, hang you on a meathook, then gobble you down i'd love to see a fight between freddy, and leatherface on one team; and meyers, and jason on the other. that'd be a real fight, then i dunno throw in pinhead as a special referee.

Well, I finally saw FvsJ last night and it pretty much lived up to all of my expectations. I have just one problem with it though and that's the fact that it was a bit to "Scream-ish" for my taste. Before it's release, the flick was hyped all to hell with everyone saying it's a true return to 80's slashers, but that it is not.

Anyway, I kept my expectations low and left the theater very satisfied. Who in the hell would have high hopes anyway after the last 13 years of garbage that's been released on horror's favorite sub-genre? Believe me when I tell you, there is nothing worse than a slasher flick that tries to take itself seriously and ends up being corny.

That's what made 80's horror films so damn fun in the first place as they didn't try to be anything they weren't. With that aside, FvsJ is easily the best slasher I've seen in years (although that doesn't say much at all) and every hardcore horror freak I've talked to on the net loves it as well.

On the case of Myers, Steve is correct. He is the one that started it all and is the sole reason behind the massive and excellent 80's slasher wave. Without that single film, the horror genre simply wouldn't be around today. Most new fans look at Myers as a joke and I completely understand why.

H20 and Resurrection are some of the worst slasher sequels I've ever seen and I dare say that they make the Scream and I Know series look like God damn masterpieces.

I give FvsJ a 5/5 for the sole reason that it's FvsJ and that it's one hell of a roller coaster ride. Watch it for the slasher kings and not the "pretty teens" and you'll love it to.

Steve, are you going to check out Cabin Fever? I've heard nothing but good things about it from the independent horror scene and the TV spot looks absolutely jaw dropping. I'm curious to see what that person in the rabbit costume is all about. eek! loco

Dont go for a good movie.
After the past attemps at horror(28 days later aside) how can you expect a good movie.
I knew from the first preview it would be shit.
BUT! if you want to be entertained, see it.
It was a horrible movie, but very very entertaining.
The over the top blood spurting is nice.
But why the hell is there a Jasan Mews, jay, character?!
And WHY WAS HE THERE?!
He just like....tagged along for some reason.
And the whole "Im gonna take a J break" Scene?!
WTF?

WOAH.... I liked FvJ the movie kicked major ass. Robert Englund was terrific once again as the dream demon and the fight scences between Freddy and Jason were kick ass.

Now as to the Michael Myers debate I totally agree. Myers started before Freddy and Jason and what makes Myers more terrifying than Kruger and Voorhies is the fact that he is in away "human"

Freddy and Jason are just plain out in your face monsters. Also what makes Myers more scarier than Jason is the fact that for a big mofo he presents cat like quickness he hides and sneaks up on his hapless prey. Jason is big and lumbering and you can just hear him coming amile away.

Enough of that I have two matches that have been in my mind and I want to see who you guys think will win and why.
