Last Blade 2 DC Censorship: Discussion at Agetec Forums

There is currently a discussion going on at the Agetec forums regarding the very disappointing censorship of Last Blade 2 DC U.S. version. I and several others (including RyoGeo and shidoshi, great input!!) are asking Agetec why they BUTCHERED this U.S. release, and whether they included a code to resore the censored items. Anyone here who would like to offer input to the thread at the Agetec forums, it would be much appreciated. I personally want an answer from Agetec as to why they ruined the U.S. release of this game. I do have the import copy, but anxiously bought the U.S. one to show my support for this and future releases (MOTW!). I was very dissapointed. The white blood, or sweat was ridiculous. The bloody special moves actually added a lot to the game. It made it much more dramatic. The graphics are very good though. It could have been a pefect port. Oh well. I doubt Agetec is going to be responding any time soon. <IMG SRC="smilies/ohno.gif" border="0">

Well if all they're going to producs is this kind of censored garbage, I could care less whether they release any more titles. I'd skip them anyway, because no doubt each one would be butchered in one way or another by Agetec. Shameful thing to butcher a great game like LB2 . . . thank God we have the import to fall back on. <IMG SRC="smilies/eek2.gif" border="0">

...Damn. I can't friggen' afford the import and was waiting for this, only to find that this happened.

The blood and violence really does add to this game more than any other fighter I can think of. I should know; I play Hibiki and Setsuna. The blood is really important for the effect of Setsuna's SDM, and Hibiki's *character* of course is affected by the "fatalities".

I totally agree. If they are not going to make games the way they should be made, then why should it matter. Everyone has a right to complain about the censorship. To most people, this is a big deal. If you can't understand that, well then you are very closed minded and need to understand how other people feel. Without blood and the finishing moves, I'm not going to buy this game. I will have to settle for the import version. If you don't think it is a big deal, that is your opinion. Think how it affects other people.....

FUUMA, you must RETURN YOUR LAME COPY of this game to Agetec. There is a movement growing by people who bought this game, to return it to Agetec. I personally bought THREE copies to try to boost support for this and future releases, but ALL THREE OF MY COPIES WILL GO BACK TO AGETEC. <IMG SRC="smilies/mad.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/mad.gif" border="0">

One thing I don't understand......if DC Berserk (? spelling??) can have lots blood in the game, why can't US version of LB2?

I agree letting agetec know that all the USA Last Blade fans are disapointed by the censorship is a good idea.

They obviously brought it here, cause they know it has a hardcore following, now they have to know that the hardcore gamers don't like to play censored/hacked versions.

it was kinda insensitive..
per apologee.
i would like to offer the secret
blood code given to me by shen long.
up up down down left right a b start
and then go through the game 20 times on
the hardest difficulty without losing a round
having at least 8 of them being a perfect
victory and also an additional 8 rounds
by finishing off you opponent with a super
then during the ending press the triggers
at least 100 times and then you can fight
shen long!

Well if that is true then Agtec did a perfect port. I mean, how many companies would so closely mirror the Neo release (US and Japan) with the Dreamcast relelase <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> The amount of blood in LB2 is so minimal anyway, I agree it sucks that they censored it, but I don't think you are missing too much. Why does this surprise anyone? I guess I have grown too cynical with censorship in the US so I hardly see this as unexpected. Do you guys remember when Samurai Shodown came out in the US on home cart? Same thing only magnified 100x. If you want to get the uncensored version do yourself a favor and stay away from US releases.

US companies don't release games for hardcore fans like us; they release them for the casual fans and the kids who clutter up the isles at Walmart.

sam shos on my US NEO... god theres the real

i think returning your copies of the game
shows not contempt for agetec censoring the
game but more as
disrespect to agetec for bringing out
a title that they well enough could have left

BTW, IMO Last Blade 2 censored or not did come out. If you don't like it, stop whinin and buy the import. Hell, its better all around. At least its licensed, and is not a fake ass conversion.
