I don't think people are surprised at SNK making a shmup. It's the flying KoF characters.

Ah, the publicity cycle. Looks like this has been in development by a small team for about 2.5 weeks. Hopefully this will fall through the cracks in 2010.

Maybe they thought that something like this was really just a interesting twist on one of the popular franchises. Also what better way to test it out as to have it as a downloadable game through xbox live.

I have a feeling that there will be a frustrating amount of ambiguity about where the hitbox is on your flying KOF character.
