Nope $850 for just the cab. Shipping was extra.

Hmm, Codecrank's right.. prices must have gone up. Either that, or Ken cant keep the NACs in stock, and therefore sells them for a higher price.

I got my blast for $950, and Ken's selling AWSD's on Ebay for $900.

His page is still listing the Astro city at $650.. I bet it hasn't been updated. I'm not sure about the differences, or base price for a NAC, but it shouldn't be that much more than an AC.

I'm not saying you over paid by any means, just shocked that the price may have jumped.

:/

These are the recent prices I saw from Ken.

Astro City $750
New Astro City $850
Atomiswave $900
Blast City $950

Did I overpay for my NAC? Yeah alittle. I just couldn't find one on the east coast.

I still want to upgrade the control panel but that will be another $200. The sticks and panel are kinda rusty. Bummer.

Nah, I don't think you overpaid at all. I say with living in the Midwest (I'd assume PA would fit too) and liking candy cabs you can never really overpay. Ken's reputable and typically does a good job doing what he does. I've dealt with him for a handful of small transactions and also one BC through him that came in near mint condition. I've thought he did a good job overall. Truth is we're all basically at the mercy at whoever is willing to ship here, or whoever has something for sale locally which would be never.

most of us just restore the control panel: scrape off the old beat up CPO , sand off the rust, rustoleum primer and apply a new CPO.

Bigtime was making custom ones, but I think for now he's taking a break.

gameongrafx has repro astro city cpos for 20$
http://www.gameongrafix.com/products/astro-city-cpo ( ask for gloss finish )

you can still find NOS CPOs for twice the price.
https://sites.google.com/site/japandealers/arcade-control-panels ( 3500 Yen )

if yours is rusted beyond repair, I have a pile of panels just pm me.

Finally got pics of my NAC I bought from Ken.

The Good.

Clean cab. Very good overall shape. No funky arcade smell. Wired very clean. No rats nest!

The BAD

Rusty controllers and mix-match sanwa/seimitsu buttons... I guess that's expected. I might buy a new CP later on.

The UGLY

Some monitor burn. See the line going down. You can only see it on this stage. Bummer, but it's an old machine.

Overall: I'm happy. No regrets.

Cheers!

What can I do with the stereo amp?... I'm a fricking noob!

Enjoy Stereo sound out of all the systems has it ;) like that nice cps2 rig you have

Jamma-only cabs don't normally have amps, because jamma PCBs have a built-in audio amp to drive the cab's speaker(s)

RCA stereo ouput is not amplified, so in order for it be used, your cab needs an amp.

The nac is a jamma cab, normally mono/jamma sound only.

There are exceptions to the rule of course ( namely the neo-geo mvs )
