In KS they call that "stretch goals".
Because they stretch your asshole?

That's much different from DLC. Stretch goals define the limits of the game before it begins development. DLC is just parts of a finished game sectioned off arbitrarily to charge more for later.

Few more updates from this morning:
-We are still pricing out and investigating the possibility of some kind of physical version of the game as an additional new reward tier. Watch this space!
-We’re super thrilled to see the great response to our Beck & Call online co-op mode! Some people have been asking if a Call-only single-player level or levels could be possible; it’s something we have been discussing and could be possible as a later stretch goal, should we be so lucky as to reach many of our current goals.
-As we mentioned in the update, we are looking into different options regarding the possibility of Vita and 3DS versions, possibly as later stretch goals, or through other methods. We honestly aren’t sure how this will turn out, but we can tell you we do hear you, and we are doing all we can to look into ways to make it happen. (By the way, these are not either of the “???” mystery stretch goals -- both of those are game-content related.)
And a promo poster:
Will definitely up my pledge for a physical version.
The PS4/XB1 goal is idiotic as seeing the game isn't due till 2015 anyway. It should have been the goal in place of the X360/PS3 ports. Not sure how many people will still be playing those two consoles come 2015.
The reason for this is Comcept and IntiCreates already have PS3, 360, and Wii U development kits and tons of experience for those platforms. To my knowledge they do not have PS4 or XB1 kits yet, so they would actually have to purchase them and then learn how to use them to make the game on those systems. The PS4/XB1 goal is idiotic as seeing the game isn't due till 2015 anyway. HUGE day for the game. They did $65,000 today, as compared to just $28,000 yesterday.
That console stretch goal really must have drawn in some backers.
