Editor's Opinion: I'm not really sure if I should be happy or mad at whats going to happen. John Woo hasn't really done something so "weird" and sci-fi so it might turn out well but it might just turn out to be another "SUMMER BLOCKBUSTER OMG!" which will probably be a box office hit, but otherwise forgettable.

John Woo has had more than a few "works in Progress" over the years that never got made like his project with Martin Scorsese that was entitled Mafia Cop a project with Tarantino and Lawrence Bender dating back to 1994 slated for 1997... the original and horrid version of Tears of the Sun that was more of "Deliverance meets Cannibal Mercenary" and a few others who's titles slip my mind.

JW has sucked nuts on everything since he left Hong Kong, though "Hard Target" and "Wind Talkers" have their merits no doubt. But his last hit was 1992's Hard-Boiled, thus bringing in the guy who sold out and did MI2 and Paycheck to do a METROID film??? I'll fuckin' believe it when I see an actual trailer, not a "Teaser" for it. Until then I don't believe no matter what the reports say. It be in bad taste anyhow, plus no one would ever agree on whomever finally was casted as Samus Aran anyhow.

I am not sure why it would matter too much who plays Samus since she would have to spend most of the movie inside her suit so you would never see her.

#1> So if at the end of the movie Samus Aran takes off her helmet and we find out it's ET's Kojo and his nasty assed self that would be okay then? *Honestly if this does get made they had better put some serious thought into it. If she's suited up throughout most of the film, I'd say give one of the hottest porn stars out there an intensive "Acting" Class and market her as Samus in the movie.
