I was just looking in my jamma cab at the three buttons looking at how i was going to put in the 4th. All three buttons have 3 wires 2 out of one terminal and one out of the other. Puzzled i traced the wires and found that button 1(1P) joins to button 1 (2P) inbetween these was a molex connector that split the 3 wires between the buttons.

So 2 wires go from each button into the jamma loom and the remianing links to the other button (player1 or 2). Though they werent connected.

Anybody have any idea why this is?

thanks

If I'm reading correctly it looks like your talking about the 'GROUND WIRE'
You need a ground connection for each button along with the Jamma connection in order to
activate the button.
The Ground connections can all be linked together but 'NOT' the Jamma pinout connection.
Hope I'm understanding you correctly because it sounds like the two wires connecting to the terminal is the 'GROUND & the single wire is the Jamma pinout connection.
