Not for a US version. US Version usually sells for $375-$450, maybe a little more
if it includes the classic insert. Maybe if your game was complete, with
shirt, classic insert, then close to $500 for collector's purposes ;)

On a side note:
I have seen the JP ver of ROTD fetch insane prices on Yahoo! JP, usually $600+.

Not necessarily. I guess it depends on what side of the world you are. Like I
said in my above reply, it usually sells for a lot in Yahoo! Japan.

However, the
last 3 sold, that I know of, two from ebay, and one from a private seller, sold
for an average of $450.

Is it true that more Japanese versions were made over the U.S one?

For ROTD, I don't think anyone knows real figures of how many games were
produced for each version of the game. It is believed that the JP version had
more, since this seems to be the case with other releases.

According to the neostore, 204 pieces were available for the US version only,
that's the whole run of US carts that neostore got, which was displaye at
the beggining.

However there was no confirmation from Playmore (They won't say anything about
production numbers anyway).

Treat this as a lesson neo-folk!!.. when they sell out at the neo-store they creep up in price :( , look at sengoku 3...took ages to sell out...now it has, people want it!.
If you do collect ngh..then my advise is if you have not got any of the new titles in at the neo-store.. buy em!! because they are not around forever....

ALL were sold out!! with no-more to come from playmore!! AARRGGHH!!! unbelievable... i ended up buying one Luckily in the UK for a skanking £300...£120 more than neo-stores :crying: ....now that title has rocketed.

"The price for this item is high, however you will never find a finer example of ROTD anywhere."

They're not trying to pretend that it's value priced, the above is part of the listing and flat out admits that this is a high dollar copy.

It's sitting in Ryan's NGH clean room. All visitors are required to wear disposable white jumpsuits, masks, and boots. The room does not allow a single ultraviolet photon in, and has a large negative pressure to make sure that no microorganisms may enter the room.

What Jorge says is the truth.
I know Ryan and have all the respect it the world for him but even I have to say that that price is straight up bullshit lie.
It's like Kenny is spreading some "I don't know how to buy like a re-seller" disease.

Not really. I've seen Samurai 2 or KOF 94 for $22, Neostore was always 50% more. Neostore used to sell Neo systems for $290, as far as I can remember JGN has held their price at $199.

A while back he sold a new Metal Slug 5 for $499, his personal one is going for a lot more.

Think about it, this is a personal copy, maybe he doesnt want to sell it unless it's got a premium.

I agree with almost everything you said, I purchased all the "New and never been played" titles from the Neo-Store and Ncs. However, I think only those titles that will never see a port like Sengokou 3, Matrimelee and Ssvs would have a better chance of fetching a good re-sale price along with any Slug (even with ports up this title always stays on the high-end)

I could be wrong any observations?
