I need help here guys, I can't do jack in this game. I am getting pummeled on MVS setting 1, I can win only by being incredibly cheap or waiting for time to run out... Anyone have some kind of advise or hints on how to do better in this game?

yeah this is a tough one, i forgot how hard that game is. well i use to play it all the time and got up to level 3 or 4, can't remeber. i would always run. run run run. and i only used the ninja. watch how the computer plays first then try to copy it and start developing your own style from that. also don't rely on the heavy attack unles you have an obvious attack or know how to use them well. the weaker attacks (i mean punches and kick, even some moves for less lag time) almost always beat the harded one. the end boss is a bitch, with a BITCH in it. endings are good though. i'll go play it and refresh my skills and give you better help

I'd have to say AOF2 is the hardest NEO fighter I've played so far. Winning the first fight took me forever.

Galaxy Fight puts AoF 2 to shame. Not only that, it sucks too.

I don't know if it's the hardest NEO fighter out there, but Galaxy Fight is the one game other than Last Resort that pissed me off enough back in 1997 to drop kick it out of the window, glass and all much to my father's chagrin. That should speak volumes of what I think about Galaxy Fight... and when I got it in the package deal I got for my AES and 32 games not too long back, I made sure I sold it before I had flashbacks to that day... not to mention the taste of blood and a loss of a tooth I got compliments of my Dad who decided to go PUNCH OUT on me after breaking the window.

So I guess I'll vote on Galaxy Fight being at least the most annoying fighter on the NEO :(

I don't consider Galaxy Fight to be that hard, I consider AOF and AOF2 to be freaking ridiculous hard.

I'm not sure if you're trying to insult me or just joshing for a little fun. Either way I can take out whatever I dish out. I'm far from typical dude, I'm actually a pretty analytical individual who's got more patience than most people for most situations, I just tend to resort to barbarism once things get my "Annoyance Meter" (think fighting game here) :) up beyond the blinking red meter somewhere off to my lower left hand side that's invisible to the naked eye. When this happens I do not try and bullshit myself into believing that I'm a civilized man because I'm not, and none of us are... and anyone who argues differently is just full of it. If man was civilized we wouldn't never have perverted atomic energy into weapons of mass destruction or dropped them on another ethinticity of people... nor would chemical weapons exist etc.

But as far as documenting my life for terrorist, hmm... If it the freakin' document would prove once and for all that not all Americans are panty waist double speak-speaking, anally polticially correct whinners who are afraid to shed blood and strike back the fuckers who want to terrorize then I'm all for it. Because if I ever catch someone (a terrorist, though the ATF could be argued to be one along with other agencies who regularly dick over citizens who do nothing to stand their ground) all I tell them in Public Enemy style is... "WELCOME TO THE TERRODROME BITCH!" then either pump a round into the chamber of my Winchester lever action rilfe, or slam home a stripper clip in my M-1 and show them what "From my dead cold hands means." I'm sure if terrorist assholes, Islam extremists etc ran into more people who would use their same levels of excessive violence in retaliation they'd think twice about the bullshit.

Not mad or anything with this post, just puttin' in my two cents.

AoF 1 and 2 are not that difficult to beat!

Just use Robert or Ryo and only use low and quick punches/kicks. This really works!

You can´t compare the gameplay to KoF or Fatal Fury at all! The cheaper your tricks are the more effective they are!!!

Even the secret Endboss in AoF2 "Geese" is rather easy to beat! Wait in the corner do a fast kick.
he will jump and do his "Air Flash Kick". Block and throw him! Repeat this until he is K.O.!

AoF1 I beat Takuma with some cheap trick as well.

Start off with your Super Fireball! Then jump at him and do hard jump kicks, low light punches...

Then again Galaxy Fight is a Fighter I have not beaten. I think I got to the 5th challenger and no further... The game is really insane unfair.

I think the game looks incredibly cool, I like the graphics... and the speed is insane... but man oh man do I blow at this game. I try just to keep moving and keep kicking and flailing... hehe, it is usually down to who ever gets that last hit in wins, but... the computer is so damn good he usually gets it. Oh well, any strategies would be appreciated. Oh and AOF2 is hard as well, but, at least the first guy didn't pummel me into the ground. I stand by my Galaxy Fight is the hardest neo fighter remark :)

its like i said, you have to always run. ijust finished the game with junn(space pirate) whatever her name is, and sazuki. both times i made it to ferner or whatever that end bosses name is, w/out dying. he sucks though.

always had a,b,c ready for attack when they were aproaching and a special move for when i was on the offensive. i use dash and do a back jump out of dash and attack, that worked pretty well. i hardly use strong attack in the air and a lot of times i had to time out to win. often the oponent will attack as soon as he or she gets up so start a weak attack combo or use a weak special. try to go for graps too, i won several close matches with a throw.

i like the stages in this game, and the music, grafx are good but moderate character design. i forgot how much i liked this one, it been a while since i played it. its awfully fast for a game that old, i guess that's why i always liked it.

i played on level 2, but i use to be able to get through it no prob, level 4

good luck, that end boss sucks, use med att. and run jump from far so he throws a fire ball, then land near him and hard att.

May I say,
I have a soft spot for Galaxy Fight? It is my personal quest to get to the secret character, which I have yet to do on the AES version. I can get all the way to Felden (the Boss) without losing a round, BUT cannot beat him without losing a round or even continuing. Even though I feel the combo system and graphics were a little ahead of their time, the CPU is RELENTLESS in it's pursuit of your destruction. Much like the aforementioned Art of Fighting 2, this game requires cheezey, boring patterns in order to win. May I recommend Roomi, and her almighty Down + C. It works wonders on everyone but Felden. Goodluck, and let me know when you beat the secret character.

AoF 2 is not so hard - I just beat it with Takuma wthout losing a single fight (on normal setting) - just wait for the enemies to jump and do a hard kick or bounce back from the left wall and kick. :)

GF with Rolf also is doable - until Felden at least and witout being too cheap.

You can generally beat the crap out of the CPU by using Rolf's qcb + A on a dash as a combo starter. You can usually link a few jabs followed by a fwd, dwn, fwd+button afterwards. Do this a couple of times, and they'll be dizzy. Some of the other characters in that game are bastards, but Rolf is the undisputed king. Rolf can also block cancel with his qcb+button (in Galaxy Fight, pretty much any character can block-cancel with many of their moves, which is part of what breaks the game).

For Felden, when/if you get to him, don't be stupid about jumping, because his stupid uppercut move will get you if you space it poorly. As I recall (this was some time ago, so I may not be entirely accurate), I was usually able to beat him by running towards him and jumping over his head (overshooting him), then he would do his uppercut and miss horribly, then I'd dash back at him and hit him with a running C.

Galaxy Fight looks cute, but from a technical standpoint, it's a totally broken game. The block canceling and infinite backdashes make it a coward's paradise, especially for Alvan and Musafar (who can block-cancel with a normal move), the only character that can really stand up to all that hardcore cowardice is Rolf.

Edit: No, it's not the hardest Neo fighter by a longshot. If you want hard, try Fatal Fury Special.

I second that firmly, but I suck at fighting games though. <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[Crying]" />

I'm with the above about Fatal Fury Special. Freaking annoying as hell. Actually it is hard, but nowhere near as hard as Ryuko no Ken 2.

Someone must have been drunk and on drugs when they designed the AI for Ryuko no Ken 2.
