ImageUploadedByTapatalk1457996971.576412.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1457996997.680581.jpgSo I am looking at having a local metal shop produce control panels for the MVS-U4 I am fixing up. Problem is the guy wants a minimum run of about 10 panels, so I am looking for interest from others to buy them before I give him the go ahead.

There will be the traditional 4 button Neo Geo layout and the 6 button Street Fighter versions made (see pictures for examples). Panels will be unpainted metal (no art) and will include both the top button panel and the lower joystick mounting panel. Note: the SF version will not have the two small center buttons in the picture. Price will be $60 shipped to lower 48. If there is enough interest for a larger run, the price might come down or we could add powder coating.

Please respond to the thread if you are interested and indicate which type of panel you'd be interested in.

I realize I am not a frequent poster here and might be attacked for posting this, but I also posted this on the KLOV forums, where I am more active and you can see I have a good sales record. Thanks,

I have been interested in getting a neo cab for a while now.
This seems like it would be a cool way for people to do a project.

Gotta make sure the SF panel button layout fits in the bottom CP, as is it is only meant for a 4 button layout given how narrow the hole for the button layout is.

Also, the bottom CP is only made for seimitsu, why not step it up and make a universal mount on the bottom CP?

Yeah, a new bottom panel will be cut to accommodate the layout on the 6 button upper panel. Universal joystick mount would be cool, but this metal shop i am working with is super busy and throwing any more new ideas them would only add to the time it'll take for them to get this done.

It's not a new idea, just change the joystick mount to what you want. Show them an example of another CP or whatever and done deal. If you're gonna go through the hassle mind as well do it right. Better yet, just once CP with joystick mounts like the Aero City which is the SSF CP you have there as an example and call it a day.

I'll have to see if I can find a picture to show him since I don't physically have anything besides the original 4 button panel. What I meant was that it took so long just get them to look at the original panel and give me a quote, I'd rather not change it up if I don't have to. personally, I can live with seimitsus.

Good luck with this. I feel like I may also have to go this route to get a SF style panel for my Neo Candy 25.

Bump...looking to tell the machine shop whether to go ahead with this soon. As of now I have only one person from the various forums interested.

10 posts and 0 feedback?

Like I said, I happen to mainly be active on KLOV under the same name, and I have good feedback. Not trying to scam anyone or insult any longtime members here, just trying to get these made and thought some people on here might want one. Not even looking for $ in advance, just trying to gauge interest.

The panels are FINALLY done and looking sweet. They are ready to ship. I have a few that aren't spoken for. So let me know if you want one. Note: they don't come with overlays...those are mine to show a finished example. Looks very nice! I've got the same cab and while the 6 button is a cool idea I don't think I could bear to customize mine like this.

These look really nice! If they were for the Super Neo 29 Candy, I would have jumped on a 6-button in a heartbeat.
