I think the term you are looking for is disability. Though, in many cases disability can be a general term as well as a legal term. I don't have any disabilities, but I do have a handicap, I have glasses, so my handiccap is corrected.

For those who doubt ADD/ADHD, etc I must inform you that these conditions are very real. I work with disabled teenagers and adults now doing whats called "Vocational Rehabilition" and I've seen that a lot of these conditions are real. I've worked with people who were MR, had TBIs, real depression, neurological disorders, etc. Definitely been a learning experience.

I think ADD/ADHD is misdiagnosed a lot though.

your work seems quite heavy man. know someone who is studying for that kinda work. his learning environment was working with people who have the same disabilities that you discribe.
some of his stories shocked me a bit. but my compliments for people who are doing that work.

i had a kid too in the class with real depression. he was 7.
he had a real high iq too. that can change a little bit ofcourse in years.
his motivation level was extremely low and he was tired all the time. but it gave a rush when i motivated and challenged him.

adhd\add is a very easy diagnose in this time. when i was younger, no one had it.

i think its just a stamp for people who are more active.
but ive seen kids whos behaviour was extreme. this was afcourse on a special primary school.

I think Asperger's is being misdiagnosed a lot; there's definitely a very thin line between 'condition' and 'personality' for Asperger's. I mean, if you look at the symptoms for it, it doesn't sound too odd...just some people out there who take it to the extreme.

In the past two or three years, however, I have realized that I am a very conflicted person. Not hypocritical, just...i dunno.

Everyone is a bit ADHD I think, especially when you start to fill out these forms.

Here's mine btw, I don't know why I did it or what the hell it means.

There are six mental sides evaluated by the quiz. They are both listed once on the left and once on the right. If you spike at the left you are neurotypical, or in normal tongue: normal. if you spike at the right you show abnormal traits. While all of the traits inquired about are traits people with asperger's or other autism-spectral-disorders (all the other ASD's are multitudes worse), you may have some without being neither abnormal or Aspie.
