OK well i woulda posted it in my old thread about kof2001 but that is like gone somewere.........Well over the friday and then the weekend i ended up play a good bit of KOF2k1.....and lets just say i call it like i see it.....well sorta i mean.....well ok like i mean well ya know how like most people probably know im sorta a basher of this game and well i still dont think its the awsomest etheir....
Well i had a friend bring it over to my house friday(kim kaphwan)..and well guess what we were gonna play but for some reason the second players D button didnt work......sigh...ok so that sucks....so basicly we dont realy play that much....
OK anyway after we were in toronto over the weekend and to my delight they had kof2k1 and also.....
There were a good deal of players!!??....fucked up......so much different from the US. Man we got a good amount of play in.....Though i must say people compl;ain about teh strangest thing though.
Like auto guard....lol...man i mean i brought how this wasnt in the game anymore....and people were acctualy saying this is a good thing!!!???...i was like wtf???.....also people were complaining about wake ups a few times and how K' crow bite has to much prioirty....I dunno alot of people liked the game alot....but complained about things that i did that really wernt that cheaty...i mean ive been playing the game only since the day before??..lol....It was super cool though....it was so much fun meeting everyone..and playing agianst people....and just seing different tactics.......to bad i didnt get to used to the stick......i really had some good stuf to show them but, sigh diffuclut to get used to snk style stick sorta.....to much capcom.
anyway i had some though on it like here are some tidbits....
Low jumping was awsome!!!!!!.....super fast.....i loved it!!...but of course i see this and im all excited then only to see that the hit boxes on low jumps are even more fucked then 99 ' low jumps.....
Man i was really hoping for 98 low jumping....
Running is fucking fast also.....Very fast.....almost 2 fast it seemed.....
Jumping CDs are extremly powerfull....i mean man...at least certain characters....especialy with the over all feel of the game(fast ,fast) super low jumps CDs seemed pretty abusable at times.....like *cough* ryo *cough* i mean i was litteraly using only a few moves with ryo super low jump CD from like full screen. I dunno i mean granted the low jumps at least ryos(since his was the most abusable i say him) have a pretty specific hit box.....I mean acctualy its a pretty BS i mean i could be like way to far away and be hitting with my CD attacks.....but up close im getting beat big time....i dunno weird sorta.
More thing about ryo his little walking auto gaurd thing(toward+lks) dont go foward anymore..... <img src="graemlins/spock.gif" border="0" alt="[Spock]" /> i mean im glad the toward+lk doesnt go foward as that move was just a little bit to hard to hit with to make me use this in a real match....but down foward+lk should still move foward...though even then man!..did people ever fall for ryos down toward+lk then throw.....shit i threw a ton all togther....though the down toward+lk acctualy made them block sorta so alot of times i missed with the throws a little bit....im not sure why this happend...but when i got someone in the corner and i would try to cheese them and such the throw got a bit harder to do for some reason.
K'....
K' crow bite has alot of invincablity at start up(you can throw him still though) i mean people who picked joe i was just like doing the crow bite threw like joes hurricane upper pretty easily....also man does it hurt.....25% life everytimes.....lol...its a good thing i didnt get the after it on anyone with it.(not just the qcb+k but the semi infinte thing) i mean cuz this one dude was complaing about it as it was. I had trouble playing as K' (though acctualy with everyone as i said it was weird ajusting to the controlls...i just kept forgeting to put my hands to were i could roll or i pretty much gave up on all my chain attacks like hp into toward +lp as my little girl ass hand just were to small and kept forgetting what to do.) so i was playing pretty scrubby. The black out is much better though....i mean in KOF2000 it got toned down like you couldnt do the block chains into cheap throws and stuff cuz the game auto pushed you away when you did.....Not in this game though....that was real fun....though granted....i did have a hard time trying to cross up with the black outs and stuff......
Heat dive sucks IMO...nothing like 99' still....lame.....still K' was pretty fun.

poor kyo...he allright to play....maybe tis just that i try to much to play as him as old times and well he is differnt now.....his throw super sorta sucks....i pretty much just used it as a wake up and from empty jumps...though still the range is pretty disapointing....also the invincablity is kinda lacking as i couldnt seem to anti air with it. And add to the fact that its like real fast and its done with.....

A FUN GAME!!!!!!!
yep all admit it....kof 2k1 one is a pretty fun game....but i wouldnt say it is a good game..its pretty stupid....i think as long as i just try to imagine that im playing a wierd kof its a kinda fun game to play....alot of thinkgs are dum no auto gaurd ect.....i duno..but its kof and its fun so i would say its fun but not good but still a fun game.....heh...i dunno...
anyway if anyone from toronto happens to read this...I HAD A SUPER FUN TIME!...man it was crazy having like people lined up to play kof!!!??...fucking crazy...i mean shit having kof somewere is pretty crazy....again though it was so much fun playing everyone and getting to meet everyone....sorry that i probably seemed pretty shady or mean but i wasnt in a very good mood. I was pretty pissed about the sticks there and well sometimes i get in bad moods or soemthing...i dunno so if i seemed weird or like mean sorry.....
