For some reason I just cannot seem to get any torrent software to work anymore. After upgrading from win8 to 10, then back down to 7, all of a sudden utorrent isn't doing jack shit for me this time, it keeps hanging at "connecting to peers" and not downloading anything, even though the torrent says there's plenty of seeders.

Anyone have suggestions? I need The Gold Experience pronto. :lolz:

I found out that it's because I switched routers and I'm going to have to figure out some manual port forwarding. Bleh, fuckin' hell.

I'm a big fan of qBittorrent. Lean, mean, and no frills. Seems like most torrent clients get over bloated on "features".

I have had the best experiences with Vuze.

Vuze is trash. When I installed it, it fucked with all my setting on my computer. I had to reinstall the OS and just went back to using µTorrent.

Port Forwarding should be pretty easy with newer routers. Hope you get it all figured out.

Are any of you guys like, hardcore into this stuff? I always thought it would be cool to have a cheap, dedicated Linux 'dark web' or whatever computer- just for torrents and the like. 'Cause I don't want to fuck up my pc like I used to in the old days when I downloaded a shitload of torrents. Going all online stealth would be fun, IF I could do it really, really cheap.

Any suggestions/ideas?

How else are you supposed to do it?

Movies, tv shows whatever = Kodi with plugins or you have popcorn time.
Porn = plenty of streaming sites
so I guess that leaves what maybe video games?

on topic: Are you sure you got your ports open?

Are we really being a hipster over torrents, of all things?

Vuze is a lot slower than the alternatives because of all the extra bullshit in the installer that runs in the background

deluge & others execute, load/seed(s) torrents and nothing else

I use torrents to download software for my Mac, and Formula One races. Seems to work just fine for me. If anyone has a better suggestion then I am all ears.
