Help with DS Lite question

How do you adjust the light settins on the DS Lite.
on the manual it tells me to touch the littel sun in the corner of the ds lite when you first turn it on, but all that does is turns the screen light off, so you can see anything and the manual says to press it and choose from 4 options...
Any help would be sweet.

Hmm.. that IS strange.

Basically as the manual says, when you turn the unit on with no game in or anything you can see the brightness logo in the bottom left corner, you simply tap that to go through the 4 levels of brightness.

On the old DS when you tap the same button the light simply turns off.

At the start up menu,tap the light/sun icon to adjust brightness.
