I'm getting ready to move my apartment so it's time to pass on some REALLY COOL SHIZNIT to you.

I am parting with my prized Elemental Gearbolt Assassin Case. These were promo items/contest prizes offered by Working Designs to promote the PSX game. The set includes a gold-plated GunCon, a red memory card, a sealed copy of the game, and the congratulations letter, all packed in a foam-lined aluminum case with the EG logo embossed on the side. While 50 were planned to be made, less than that were actually produced due to manufacturing troubles (per an ex-Working Designs employee who was there at the time). Mine has never been used--it's minty fresh inside and the case itself is in excellent condition, just one or two minor signs of wear (which is really from storage--it's not like I used it as a lunchbox).

PM me offers. Message edited to add huge pix:

Big-ass pix added. Sure is purty and yes, the game is fun and unique. Apparently making it with real gold instead of cheeseball gold paint was harder than expected. So they're even more scarce than they were supposed to be.

My ex-WD-employee pal (we'll call him "Albert Odyssey") values this at about $1000. You'll be happy to hear that I don't! :) Since some have asked, I'm seeking $500 obo.

Edited because I repeated myself. Packing to move makes one lose one's mind a lot.

Dude, you've got to be a pretty hardcore WD fan to want to spend $500 on that. They probably realized they were out of their mind producing something like that a gave up mid-production.

Working Designs is my second favortite developer next to Square (which is quickly losing its number one slot), but damn. I'll stick with all their other $2 promo items (and they release a TON of them, like a promo item every week it seems).

I would just slap it up on eBay now, you'll get the most out of it that way (maybe not $500, but more than you would anyplace else). That's not something you bring into a pawn shop or over to a friends house and sell for $500. :D

It was...an aggressive idea, I'll give them that. The ones that exist do look super cool. :) But I brought it here because I figured it was more likely to go to someone who actually would appreciate it. If I got no takers then I was going for eBay, but I'd rather it go to someone in the community.

I won't drag this one out forever because I did receive a good offer in the ballpark I was hoping for, so if you haven't contacted me by e-mail or PM and you're seriously interested, please do so within a day or two.

Thanks. And Dan's Moving Fund thanks you too.
