2001? You can actually understand that movie? I thought Kubrick was just on horse while making that one.

People who don't get 2001 are morons, I think. My list is:

1. 2001
2. Alien
3. Blade Runner
4. Ghost in the Shell
5. 2010

I know that choice 5 will get a few boos, but I don't care! <IMG SRC="smilies/makeface.gif" border="0">

Hey Hey! Abyss, Predator, T2, Robocop 1.
I take it you guys don't like the Matrix??
It was a good film, but I think that the amount of after-hype it received killed its glory.
Too many praise-suckup-reviews i guess.
Still a good flick though.

I'm not sure I'd put The Matrix in sci-fi. I mean, I loved the movie, but isn't it more action than sci-fi?

Well, there are what you could term "Conceptual" sci-fi movies, that expand your horizons and make you think. Then there are "Action" films with a sci-fi backdrop. Matrix would classify as the latter, I think.
