I'm curious if the music composing is cool, or just quirky.

This game is not doing anything that Rez didn't do 1000x better four years ago.

Or Lumines for that matter.

It's a nice little title but I wouldn't tell everyone to go out and buy it.

It certainly is pretty theraputic, and you can spend huge amounts of time just messing around with one type of plankton.

However, I think some of the plankton are a bit weak. The 'spinning' ones for example.

I just received my copy today. I had pre-ordered it at EBGames but it has been on back order for a week.

I have everything but starwars and feel the magic. Jap is actually better. Comes with headphones and a nice custom bigger box. Same game though.

Headphones you say?

I'll have to check this out, but i'd still prefer a US version because i'm nationalist like that.

Just got Electroplankton today :)

It's very soothing, defies the definition of a "game"... morelike an ambient, interactive + therapeutic device rolled in one.

And the japanese box art is brilliant.

Thats cool, I wish we got neat bonuses like that.

I don't understand BIG's hatred towards this title. All he ever says is "it's not a game"

So what? Think of it more like a video toy.

You know I'm not jealous, or envious, I care more about infinium labs Phantoms future than PSP.

:shame:

I did play the PSP once, ridge racers was nice, I gave it a good look at under a bright lamp for 30minutes afterwards, too. :buttrock:

Just got it yesterday. I ordered it off Nintendo.com. It's an awesome game to play around with. It's best with headphones. :buttrock:

I looked in the booklet, which is awesome, and found that their actually is kind of a goal on the "Hanenbow" one. (The one where you launch plankton at leaves). Apparently if you can get all the leaves to turn red a flower blooms. :buttrock:

I wish the US version came with headphones too. At least it's cheaper this way.

I just finished ordering mine.

I can't believe how much ass the DS is kicking, I don't have enough time to enjoy the games coming out.

I really had to jump on this. Mizuguchi-san loves his music games, and both of those are great, but they are NOTHING AT ALL, NOT EVEN A LITTLE, like Electroplankton. Rez and Lumines are great games, whereas Electroplankton isn't even a game. It's a music toy. And it's not for everyone. I suggest that if you are even a little curious, you buy the US version. Limited edition games like this often turn out to be decent investments. Like that Pokemon title.

If only I'd been in the US when Ikaruga was being clearance - could have got it for $20 new rather than $40+ as new - and that wasn't limited edition, it just never had a chance in the US.
