That basher monster is a blast from the past- I remember
it almost managed to kill the hero Abel on the old Dragon Warrior cartoon that was syndicated back in 1990. Never saw it appear in battle during the few DW games I managed to play, oddly enough...

Nice attention to detail on both monsters. Makes me wish I could sculpt stuff like that from scratch. Thanks for sharing those photos and keep up the good work.

I've heard of that Dragon Warrior cartoon, but I never saw it myself. Maybe we didn't get the channel it was on when I was a kid.

Glacier Bashers are very common enemies on one of the large, frozen islands to the far north in Dragon Warrior 3. (I think it might be the island with the guy that gives the Sailor's thigh bone in exchange for the Staff of Change, but I'm not sure). I also encountered some of them one time right outside Baramos' Castle, which seemed like kind of an odd location for them IMO. DW players like to seek these frigid guys out, because they will very rarely drop a Mysterious Hat when defeated--this head armor reduces MP consumption for spells when equipped; it's a very useful item for the magic users in your party if you're lucky enough to get one.
